Haunted Otranto: Our Stay in Italy’s Most Unsettling Airbnb
We recorded this episode right after leaving Otranto, still laughing and slightly traumatized by one of the weirdest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. Otranto itself is beautiful, easy to walk and full of good food and coastal views. The Airbnb… not so much. In this episode we talk about the town, the waterfront, the restaurants we liked and the strange details that made our stay unforgettable in the most unexpected way.
Episode Summary
Otranto is one of those places that feels relaxed the moment you arrive. The old town is small, the water is bright blue and every corner seems to come with a view. We share what stood out while exploring, how simple it was to get around and the slower pace that makes the town a good stop on any Puglia trip.
Then we get into the Airbnb. From the moment we walked in, things felt off. We talk about the odd layout, the sounds, the decor and the moments that made the stay feel a little haunted. It’s a funny, slightly eerie story that ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our time in Puglia.
