Best Beaches in Sardinia: Our Favorite Spots for a Great Holiday

If you’re searching for the best beaches in Sardinia, this guide highlights the ones we’d return to again and again. After three trips, these are our go-to favorites for soft sand, clear water, and a perfect day by the sea.

🎧 Listen to the full episode where we break down our top Sardinia beach picks from three different trips, including the ones we’d go back to again.

Cala Cipolla

📍 Near Chia
A small, sheltered cove with golden sand and clear, shallow water. It’s quiet, easy to reach, and great for a few relaxing hours.

Spiaggia del Poetto

📍 Cagliari
This is one of the longest beaches on the island. It has beach bars, water sports, and a wide stretch of sand. Great if you want a full day by the sea with plenty to do.

Spiaggia di Kal’e Moru

📍 Southeastern Sardinia
Calm, shallow water and soft sand make this beach a good pick for families. It’s also a nice spot for snorkeling or catching a sunset.

Foxi Manna

📍 East Coast
A peaceful beach with soft sand and calm waves. Perfect for a long beach walk, a quiet swim, or just stretching out with a towel and a book. The mountain views are a bonus.

Cea Beach

📍 Eastern Sardinia
You’ll recognize this one by the two red rock stacks in the water. The sand is soft, the water is clear, and it’s one of the best beaches for swimming and diving.

Lido di Orrì

📍 Near Tortolì
A long, wide beach with white sand and shallow water. It’s easy with kids, and there’s usually space to spread out. Good facilities nearby too.

Spiaggia di S’Orrologiu

📍 South Coast
One of the quietest beaches we found. Clear water, few crowds, and an easygoing feel. If you want to relax without much going on, this is it.

Tahiti Beach (Cala Coticcio Caprera)

📍 Island of Caprera
This one takes more effort, either by hike or boat, but it’s completely worth it. Bright turquoise water, smooth rocks, and amazing snorkeling. Feels wild and untouched.

We’ve explored Sardinia several times now, and these beaches have stayed at the top of our list. Whether you’re planning your first trip or coming back for more, these spots offer a mix of beauty, calm, and everything you need for a perfect day by the sea. We’ll keep adding new favorites as we go, but this list is a solid place to start.
