Here’s how we break down our European travel destinations to make planning easier.
Western Europe
France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany are where we spend most of our time. These countries are easy to travel through, great with teens and full of day trips, train routes and small towns worth slowing down for.
Southern Europe
Italy, Croatia and the Mediterranean coast offer warm weather, coastal cities, island ferries and relaxed travel days. These are the places we return to for food, beaches and road trips that never disappoint.
Northern Europe
Denmark, Finland and the Nordic region deliver clean design, cozy cities, modern museums and some of the easiest public transport in Europe. Great for families, winter trips and kids who want something a little different.
Central Europe
Austria and the Czech Republic mix historic old towns with mountain scenery, Christmas markets and easy rail connections. These destinations are perfect for shorter itineraries and holiday travel.
