Aquadome in Austria is, for us, one of the most perfect places. It isn’t cheap, at all, in fact it is a splurge but sometimes, its worth it. It is nestled in the mountains where every direction you look is stunning. The hotel itself is cozy with lots of wood accents and alpine décor. Every morning, you will receive the day’s agenda with planned hikes, children’s club activities, and if you are lucky like we were, a walk with alpacas. The staff is helpful and kind. The food is hardy and plentiful, half board included in nightly stay prices, with enough choices to make the whole family happy. They even have a fun kids food area and make your own sundaes.
Nearby there is great hiking, bike rentals, trails along the river and rope climbing. There is an incredible suspension bridge not too far. Your whole family will be in heaven in the nature.
There is a spa, hair salon and a full fitness center with classes.
But, the best part of Aquadome, is the actual aqua. There is a fun children’s area with activities for toddlers to teens. There are puddle pools to big water slides and then the kid’s club with care and special activities. Then there are the more adult/older kids areas with 3 huge pools outside and one inside with outside access. There is a fun lazy river and massage jets. Your stress will melt away. One evening in fall, after dark, the air was chilly and the water was warm. We went up to the top pool and floated weightlessly as we star gazed, it was perfect.
Ps – Dogs are allowed to stay in hotel but not to the spa or pool areas.
