Welcome to the getAwayZ! We are two friends, Erin and Lisa, a dog, Rex and a teenage boy, Dylan - who moved from the USA to Europe 7 years ago in search of new experiences and opportunities. Our goal was to travel the world and provide Dylan with a unique education by immersing him in different cultures.

We started our European life in Italy, where we lived for six incredible years. During this time, we explored the country, from the bustling, big cities to the charming countryside. We ate delicious, local food, learned about culture, art and history, as well as made friends with locals. Italy is extremely dog-friendly so, our dog was able to join us on our adventures.

Last year, we moved to the Netherlands, eager to discover what this beautiful country had to offer. We've been busy exploring ever since, from the stunning tulip fields to the picturesque windmills. Dylan is attending a local school where he has begun to learn Dutch and learn more about the local history and culture.

Over the years, we've traveled extensively throughout Western Europe, discovering new places, meeting new people, learning new things and finding new things to treasure. We've hiked in the mountains, swam in the sea, and explored ancient ruins.  We have created memories that will last a lifetime.

We started the getAwayz to share our adventures and experiences and maybe even inspire others to follow their travel dreams.
