Keukenhof

Growing up and thinking of the Netherlands, I thought of two things:  wood clogs and tulips.  Keukenhof has both, but in a way you can’t even imagine.

The tulip season here is from March 21 to May 12, 2024.  During that time a visit to Keukenhof will blow your mind.  I was not even remotely prepared for the beauty of the gardens.  If you can dream up any version of a tulip, it is here.  They are huge and every hue, variety and texture you could possibly imagine.  Every direction you look its tulips but unlike the other tulips.  Its truly amazing.  You can either take a bike around the area or just walk through the gardens.  There are shops, cafes, a windmill to climb and see an aerial view of the area and enormous wooden clogs to capture a photo op.

Dogs are allowed to visit the gardens.  Parking is 8 euro and 19.50 euro for adult entrance.  Plan ahead and buy your tickets in advance.  It gets crowded.  Also, plan to spend at least a couple hours.  There is so much to enjoy.
